Fzputtygen.exe runs on its own

Hi,
my AV quarantined fzputtygen.exe.

For some reason, it was run by WmiPrvSE.exe under NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM context when my account was not even logged in.

Can you please help ? I am a bit concerned because fzputtygen.exe is related to keys creation and I would like to be sure it has nothing to do with ransomware or something similar.

That's nothing done by FileZilla itself. Someone or something must have started it that way.

May I ask why are you so sure about that ? Is it possible some sort of automatic update by filezilla that would execute that file ?

FileZilla has no other process running (no service, no scheduler etc.). Thus, if FileZilla isn't started, which would be only possible when you are logged in, it cannot do anything. Even auto-update occurs only after FileZilla.exe is manually run by the user.

May I ask why are you so sure about that ?

Because he is the author of FileZilla?
