Please help. I was advised to download FileZilla to download files from an ftp server. It appeared to work. When I went to see of the files were on my computer, in the finder under network, the users are all gone and all I see is an image of a pc/dos screen and hpd4a946 under the image. Where are my user files? where are the downloads?

They are in the directory you have downloaded the files to. The download directory is the one displayed (by default) on the left side of FileZilla, at the time of queuing the file for download.
