Error: Failed to open "filename" for writing
Hi I am new to this.
I can see the file on my ftp server but when I try to download I receive this message:
Error: Failed to open "/sbin/filename" for writing
Error: File transfer failed
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks
Vee

Re: Error: Failed to open "filename" for writing
You're trying to write into a protected system directory. Please chose a directory you have permissions to download files in.

I can edit but not download, so it seems like I have access
Re: Error: Failed to open "filename" for writing
Wrong. Edit uses a Temp directory. Download uses whatever is selected as target at the local side. And that target you selected is NOT writable by your account (/sbin is a protected system directory).
Use your user profile directory as target.
Use your user profile directory as target.
