Issue in uploading Key File
Dear all,
I have created both the Public and the Private Key File in the terminale using the command ssh- keygen.
When I need to upload the private Key File, first a window appears saying that the format of the Key File is not valid and that I need to convert it, once I do that a window pops out saying '' Error loading file - Invalid xml file''.
I'm using the protocol SFTP and the logon type is Key File.
Filezilla´s version is the latest.
Anyone has any idea why I can't load the Key File?
Thanks in advance

Which version of FileZilla are you using?

Hi,
I'm using Filezilla version 3.53.0
I'm using Filezilla version 3.53.0
Re: Issue in uploading Key File
You can ignore the error about the invalid XML file, it only shows up once and is completely harmless.

The problem is that I can't connect because of this error showing up
Re: Issue in uploading Key File
This error message does not block connecting to the server. Your issue must be something else.
What does it say in the message log?
What does it say in the message log?

Problem solved! It was a matter of overwriting the password.
Thanks

Re: Issue in uploading Key File
Hi, I am having the same issue, where when I connect, I'm receiving the Invalid XML File error. It prevents me from connecting. Someone else who is using the same credentials as me is having no issues at all. Is there a way around this? We're on the same version of FZ. I do not own the server, so I cannot change the password.
Re: Issue in uploading Key File
3.53.1 should have the XML error fixed. But, chances are that it might not be the problem that keeps you from connecting properly.

Re: Issue in uploading Key File
Hm. Is there a way to investigate what is causing the error? I can't proceed with the connection because of this. I'm stumped, and I'm not very technical in nature, so I'm at a standstill. I appreciate your response.
Re: Issue in uploading Key File
What protocol, is it SFTP, too? If so, then a iirewall might block fzsftp (or fzsftp.exe on Windows). Something to check, for starters.
