Filezilla and preserve local file time on uploadad files

Filezilla and preserve local file time on uploadad files

Does anybody know how it works with Filezilla? I can't find an option for this. The FTP-Server support this function. Can anybody help me?

yes okay i have found it but it does not work. At every upload filezilla changed the date to the current date.

my server can it. when i use Turbo FTP then it works but with File Zilla it does not work. Why? Can it be taht FileZilla preserve the time only with an FileZilla Server?

If you refer to MDTM blablah command, forget it. This is not an official FTP command and will never be supported by Filezilla.

Correction:

MDTM is an official command introduced in RFC 3659. The RFC makes it very clear that it cannot be used to set file timestamps.

Then there is the MFMT command as introduce in an IETF draft which can be used to set file timestamps.

Sorry botg, wasn't home, with MDTM blablah I mean this command: MDTM YYYYMMDDHHMMSS filename <-- this is no official command.

That's not only unofficial, it's in blatant violation of the standard.
