64 bit FileZilla ?
Hi,
I would like to use FileZilla on 64 bit Windows XP. Is there a 64 bit binary version of FileZilla Client/Server for Windows ? If not would a 32 bit FileZilla work in Windows over Windows (WOW) mode in 64 bit OS ?
Thanks ..

Re: 64 bit FileZilla ?
Yes, the 32bit version works well on 64bit Windows.
Unfortunately there's no native 64bit version for Windows due to lack of compiler support.

Re: 64 bit FileZilla ?
Can the x64 compiler of the Windows SDK be used?

Re: 64 bit FileZilla ?
No, it doesn't run on Linux and lacks GNU autotools support.
Re: 64 bit FileZilla ?
So because linux sucks, Windows users can't have a decent FTP client with 64 bits support?
What's a shame...
Windows application should be developed on Windows - and not be limited by other systems.

a) there is no benefit to a 64-bit version of FileZilla.
b) it's not a windows program. it's cross-platform (using wxWidgets) and developed under Linux.
c) the 32-bit version works under Windows. I used it yesterday on Vista 64-bit.
d) botg doesn't have a Windows development environment and is the sole developer.

ho really?jdratlif wrote:a) there is no benefit to a 64-bit version of FileZilla.
... I won't even answer to that..
then if it's not a windows program don't clam it is supported under windows. cause windows is 64 bits today. using 32 bits emulation in 64 bits windows to run your obsolete software is not ethical.jdratlif wrote:b) it's not a windows program. it's cross-platform (using wxWidgets) and developed under Linux.
we're talking about performance here.. dude.. wake the fuck up! we're in 2009!jdratlif wrote:c) the 32-bit version works under Windows. I used it yesterday on Vista 64-bit.
then lets give it to him, he can download windows from here.. :<illegal>jdratlif wrote:d) botg doesn't have a Windows development environment and is the sole developer.

Re: 64 bit FileZilla ?
I had to ban that moron, he actually posted a link to a pirated Windows version. Not that I mind piracy, but Windows? Yuck, bad taste even for a pirate.
Re: 64 bit FileZilla ?
Well, you can't pirate Linux, for obvious reasons.
You deleted it.I had to ban that moron
