To set a Local Directory in a remote panel.

#1 Post by azcome » 2008-11-19 17:11

I like the function: synchronizes folders in Filezilla v.3. with colour red and yellow.
If it were possible to set a Local Directory in a remote panel
i could use the power of Filezilla also synchronize local to local!
For example, typing in the host ftp://localhost...
Thanks for your excellent FTP client

Filezilla is not a file manager. If there is a server running at localhost, you can do that local-local thing.

Thanks to rapid response.
I actually read several times, in this forum, that Filezilla is a Client and not a File Manager...
I installed Filezilla Server and now I can make local-local! :D
Thank you.
Good day to all

Coming in on the end...
Is the Filezilla server the appropriate program for that type of file management?
Thanks :)

No. For local file management, please use a file manager like FreeCommander.

Thanks for the help, Does Freecommander have scheduling so I could do automatic backups? If not Is there a good open source backup program you'd recommend?

Thanks a lot.
