Weather it is the servers fault or not, by being so pigheaded and not providing an option, you are only hurting users who have supported you in the past. I have no way to force ATT to change and I can't switch until my contract is done. You therefore are forcing me to use other software which doesn't work as well. At this point, I am regretting ever sending you donations, as you obviously don't give a damm about me.

That bugfix has been in FZ for over half a year now. You're telling me there are still broken servers who haven't been updated?

There are enough of them. Maybe you should consider this and implement an option that has explicitely to be enabled. Getting all servers to update is like fighting windmills...

I made a decision and I'll stick to it. Failing on broken servers is the right way to do.

Hi,
I really ask you for change your politics. I would upgrade Filezilla to new version, but I can not bec I can not upgrade FTP server and admins dont want change it. So I must use a client 3.0.11.1...

I think - if the posobility to turn off this will be on options or somethink like that, it will be the best!

Okay,

So we know that it is with the servers. We know that FileZilla is correct in saying that they need to upgrade...

I also know that even though I have tried many times, THE STATE OF TEXAS will always tell me to go screw myself, they are not concerned about it. SO.... can someone please let me know of a software that is comparably close to FZ that I can install instead of FZ?

I love FZ and I don't want to leave FZ, but I have to because of this issue and because Texas doesn't give a crap about it.

Thank you in advance.

Just tell them rednecks that their servers are vulnerable to communists (aka chinese spies) if they aren't fixed.

So I need to use v2 in order to avoid these error messages? Nobody is going to fix Filezilla to suppress the errors caused by many servers?

Isn't that considered some form of error handling? If a program I write doesn't work when it does something that isn't supported, I'm sure my users would rather have a workaround, than just be stuck. I've always been a fan of Filezilla, I'm surprised this issue hasn't been fixed yet in v3.

We're not talking about a server that's years and years old, we're talking about average, everyday servers.

It's a security issue with the servers, so there's no workaround possible. Nothing to fix. Suppressing the errors would open a security hole, I'm sure botg won't do that.

- This is the only FTP program I've used that allows this error to halt the action. It's fine if the error isn't suppressed, however, proper error handling needs to be done so that FileZilla doesn't halt the action being preformed.

v2 works flawlessly with regard to this issue. Same with many other common FTP programs (each one connecting to the same server).

I run a hosting company, and have always made FileZilla the default program for users to download. This issue, since it is so common (according to the forums, google, and just random testing I've done myself) would result in no longer pushing for v3.
It's a security issue with the servers, so there's no workaround possible.
- This happened on one of our servers when someone would connect. Would anyone like to prove how this opens us up to a security concern? I would be extremely surprised if this presented any sort of real life security issue.
