Remote site view

#1 Post by wotnow » 2009-08-12 08:08

Hi When I delete a folder off the remote side, it still shows up. If I double click it tells me that it is empty but still remains visible as a folder. Is there any way around this, thanks.

you might try to "refresh" remote view (F5, or view> refresh, or hit the refresh button on toolbar), can also try and restart client (flush cache), or you might not have permission to delete the directory itself (but may be able to delete the files inside)..

Logs are the "message logs" found in the so named tab at the bottom of FZclient. They are a record of commands and responses between client and server during the session. Search through them and see if something explains what is happening or post the session here that shows where you deleted files and folders (yet folders remain) so that others can try and help figure out what's going on.

Depending on your configuration, the log tab/pane may be also at the top.

Sorry I have looked up, down and sideways and can see no log tab. I went to view and message log is ticked. Is message log the pane that says: Response/Command/Status?

Command: RMD CarpetPaintnTile
Response: 550 CarpetPaintnTile: Directory not empty
Status: Retrieving directory listing...
Command: PASV
Response: 227 Entering Passive Mode (202,72,184,32,82,42).
Command: LIST
Response: 150 Opening ASCII mode data connection for file list
Response: 226 Transfer complete
Status: Directory listing successful

Hope this is what you were after, but folder still showing.

Yep.
Command: RMD CarpetPaintnTile
Response: 550 CarpetPaintnTile: Directory not empty
There are still files in this directory, but your server doesn't show them. As you're using LIST, try enabling 'Force showing hidden files' in the Server menu. Refresh the listing and see if the files show up.
