Hacking my FTP server..

#1 Post by tip_top » 2009-11-29 17:59

I'm sharing a folder with my brother since yesterday and I'm getting multiple users.. spoofing his IP address (I only allow his IP) and logging in with his username and password. And downloading files he has already downloaded. At least I think that's what's going on. Is this common? Brand new to FTP.

edit: never mind I'm just not familiar with how his client works..

Are the users that are logged in showing up under the same IP address? If so, no big deal as FileZilla allows users to have multiple instances connected on different ports.
