repeat posting and cross posting (posting the same message in multiple forums) is general considered rude forum ettiquette. If you don't find your answer a single post in any of these threads should be sufficient to gather a responce is an answer is known, it is not necessary to post all over the place.

No, you can't. Well, you can by e.g. using a batch script and the command line arguments FZ supports (see FAQ in Client Support forum), but FZ2 doesn't support a lot of arguments so you're better off using e.g. the included command line ftp program in XP.
However, the good news is that botg has talked about a sort of a scripting engine or scheduling function for FZ3 AFAIR. It should be mentioned in the forums somewhere, try searching if you want to read his exact words. And no, nobody knows when FZ3 is finished or when it will have this functionality, but you can follow the development diary in the development forum.

I'm a recent user of FileZilla and love it. Unfortunately, I now need to schedule some uploads and have to search for a new application.
Please add this option to FileZilla soon!
