530 Login incorrect.Critical error

I am not familiar with FTPs and how it works. I want to use it to upload an HTML file to the root of my website.I have been trying to connect but I keep on getting this:
530 Login incorrect.
Error: Critical error
Error: Could not connect to server. What should I do?

You must use the correct FTP login info you got from your hoster. The server is rejecting whatever you used.
No support requests over PM! You will NOT get any reply!!!
