Re: Root folder
Thanks.I have tried and tried but the html file which I have wont let me drag it across to the remote side.I have it where it says local site but I think that space is for a directory and I havent got my file in a directory.
I have never even seen FTP before.
I just cannot do it and I'm a senior citizen so I'm probbaly too senile for this.

Re: Root folder
Try another way:
1. Enter the webroot directory of your site on the remote side. This is the directory where the index.html has to go.
2. Select the file or files you want to upload.
3. Right-click the selection and choose "Upload".
If you get an error in the log at the top post it here.

Re: Root folder
Thanks for your patience.
Ok that seems easier but I don't know how to get this html file downloaded to the left hand side of the Filzilla page.
Once I get that done then I can drag it across to the remote site.
Just to clarify, they gave me this file and I have copied it to my mouse .I just can't find the place to put it .Where it says local site on the left hand side there is only the root folder.

Earlier you wrote that it is already there?I don't know how to get this html file downloaded to the left hand side of the Filzilla page.
That's confusing... First you want to download it to the local site, then upload it back?Once I get that done then I can drag it across to the remote site.
Sorry, you cannot copy anything to your mouse. A mouse is just an input hardware device and cannot store anything.Just to clarify, they gave me this file and I have copied it to my mouse .
What do you mean by that? You can navigate freely through all directories on your PC.Where it says local site on the left hand side there is only the root folder.
