First of all I just need to say that I know very little about this whole FTP business, so please bear with me.
Using MAC OSX / filezilla 3.3.5.1
I'm supposed to transfer my website to a new host, so I was given an FTP account to download the content (in a zip file) into my computer and then download it to my new hosting account. I was able to successfully download it, I think, because in the end it said (Response: 226 5 matches total, Status: Directory listing successful)
The problem is I cannot find it anywhere in my local site. I assigned it a specif folder, but I don't see it there. I don't know if I'm supposed to be enabling something or if there is a step I'm missing, or what, but I just cannot find it.
I see it in the bottom box where you watch it download. Is there, but don't know how to access it. Is that where I'm supposed to get it from, and not the actual folder? I haven't tried going to my hosting account because I don't know what to do next.
Please help!
Thank you

No. That is merely the confirmation that remote directory listing is complete. It's only the file listing you received, you have not transferred any actual file data yet. Right-click your desired file and select ''Download'' to do so. It will then transfer straight to the directory at the local side.I was able to successfully download it, I think, because in the end it said (Response: 226 5 matches total, Status: Directory listing successful)

Re: I can't find files I've downloaded to my local site
Hi,
MAC OSX 10.12.2
Filezilla version: 3.23.0.2
I have been successfully downloading files from Filezilla. Suddenly, after the download is complete, I cannot find it anywhere on my computer.
I've tried downloading to multiple different folders, and restarting Filezilla. When I search with spotlight, I get no results, as well as a search in finder.
When I look at my local directory in Filezilla, it shows the file on my computer's directories.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thank you!
SOLVED: I was downloading files titled like "._FLYER.PSD"
I simply removed the "." and I could see it in finder.

So called "dotfiles" are treated special in *NIX OS, as they are used for config and system purposes. They are usually not shown in any File Manager, unless showing hidden files is explicitly enabled.
