I've just installed a wamp server on my computer, OS Windows XP w/ SP2. When I try to connect to "localhost" or 127.0.0.1, I only get the message that connection attempt failed with "ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server". I have no problem connecting to a server outside my PC.
I should be grateful for a little help. I should also say that I'm completely new to all this so I would really appreciate an answer without too much technical talk.

Even then. Firewall blocks are application specific.
