Best would be to open %APPDATA%\FileZilla\filezilla.xml and change the following line:

<Setting name="Language Code" type="string">en</Setting>

The blue part must be changed to 'en'.

FileZilla uses the language set in your system settings as default language.

Hey, FZ support team ... YOU HAVE A LANGUAGE PROBLEM.

Don't think it is up to dorks like me to change "language settings" in your code.

YOU should be thinking of ways for users to select the language version that they want to employ.

If other applications like your can do it, so can you.

YOU HAVE A LANGUAGE PROBLEM
I disagree. FileZilla by default uses the language set in your operating system. So why do you select a default language in your OS you don't understand?

Please note that by installing NO language support (can be deselected in the installer) you always get English-only.

@botg: A little question: At present FileZilla uses the language set in the System locale, as I understand it. Wouldn't it be more logical (in Win) to use the language which the user has set as desktop/GUI language in the Windows OS? So if you travel and temporarily set your region/locale to Chinese as an example, FileZilla won't suddenly use Chinese, too?

Using the same default language all wxWidgets programs use.
