Suggestion: remember overwrite action for this connection?
When transmitting a file that already exists, you get the overwrite/skip/etc dialog, with the option "Always use this action", and sub-options "Apply to current queue only" and "Apply only to uploads" (or only to downloads if you're downloading).
How about adding another sub-option: "Apply during this connection only", which would remember the action for as long as I keep connected to the current server. This would be REALLY handy when I'm connected to a server, and drag some files in there every few minutes (which happens quite often when I'm incrementally updating a site or server or backing up stuff or whatever).
I hope you will consider adding this... It would definitely make my life easier and I'd love FileZilla even more!
(PS. I already mentioned this earlier in general duscussion, but I thought it'd make more sense to request it here in the development section...)

Re: Suggestion: remember overwrite action for this connectio
There is a problem with that: FileZilla uses additional connections for the transfers. When transfers stop, the transfer connections are dropped after being 60 seconds idle. So a "Remember for this tab" option makes more sense.
No, all feature requests should go straight to the tracker.but I thought it'd make more sense to request it here in the development section...

Oh, right, yes! Actually, "remember for this tab" is even better as it also keeps working when I get disconnected from the server (which happens from time to time, some servers more than others).boco wrote:There is a problem with that: FileZilla uses additional connections for the transfers. But I think it should not remember the setting if you connect to a new server within the same tab.
Thanks, will do!No, all feature requests should go straight to the tracker.

I have the opposite problem... How do you get FZ to remember "Always use this action"?

Re: Suggestion: remember overwrite action for this connectio
Being a user new to Mac, I am also having issues with FileZilla remembering 'Always Use This Action'.
I tick the box when transferring files and when I open FZ again, the box is unticked.

For a permanent overwrite action, visit the settings dialog.

Re: Suggestion: remember overwrite action for this connectio
Perhaps you can point me in that direction please.
I have searched for settings and can't find anything at all to make a permanent overwrite.
As mentioned earlier, the only box I can see to make the change is tick the box for 'always use this action' - but I'm obviously not in the correct area.
Do excuse my ignorance here.
I didn't have any issues when using Windows.

In the main settings dialog of FileZilla you can set a permanent action.
