Is the port range you forwarded consistent with the one defined in FileZilla Server? Almost sounds as if the first port of that range isn't forwarded properly (or otherwise blocked).

Or do you rely on port triggering instead of proper port forwarding?

The custom port range is not quite right. First, mane ports below 1025 are reserved for other services and cannot be used. Additionally, even the higher port range of 1025-49151 should not be used for ephemeral (short-lived) purposes. So if you want to have the largest range available for custom ports, use 49152-65535. It should prevent your error.

Yes, I agree the description besides that boxes could show a more meaningful value (at the moment it only shows what is valid to enter). Using the ports below 1025 as data ports is absolutely not recommended.

Re your log: You are using Active mode, why? Active mode needs the data ports defined (and forwarded if external access required) at the client side. The rules I wrote above are valid for the client ports also.

hi..thanks for reply

using active ports as all workstation and server on LOCAL LAN .. there is no router in-between .. only vlan switches..

what you recommend ?

In LAN only, there's not really a recommendation, you do not even have to configure Passive or Active settings here (leave the Custom port box unchecked). All that's required is that the FTP client and FTP server can communicate freely through local firewalls.

I have no real experience with VLAN, though.
