u mean a account on it like have i ever played on it before yes and no the username im using is not the same as the 1 i use on steam

You stated earlier that it's your GMod server. If that is true then you should be the administrator of the FTP server part as well. So you must create FTP accounts using the server software. It's not FileZilla Server so we can't help you further. But there should be a manual included in the server package you're using.


Just FYI:
Normally, if an FTP server is configured for anonymous access, then it accepts any password for that account. So it should have logged you in.

well really im co owner on it but the owner err the main co owner quit gmod and steam withouth helping meh at all so now do i just need to ask the owner for the server software/ ask him for his FTP account pass and stuff and then i it will work ? ( but FYI the person paying for it isnt very smart he doesnt know how to LUA code or do almost anything with servers but then again i didnt know what i was doing at first )

Do you have an admin panel for the GMod server software? If yes, and if you can access that panel, you should be able to administrate everything, including FTP.
