Hi

I am new in this. getting this message all the time. Will highly appreciate if anyone can resolve this. I am unable to update my website.

Status: Resolving address of ftp.saneinetwork.net
Status: Connection attempt failed with "EAI_NONAME - Neither nodename nor servname provided, or not known".
Error: Could not connect to server
Status: Connecting to 66.96.143.130:21...
Status: Connection attempt failed with "ETIMEDOUT - Connection attempt timed out".
Error: Could not connect to server
Status: Waiting to retry...

The server works (I tested). That would mean a firewall on your side is blocking FileZilla.
No support requests over PM! You will NOT get any reply!!!
FTP connection problems? Please read Network Configuration.

Thanks boco.

The connection is now solved but I am having another problem now. Please see below:

Command: TYPE I
Response: 200 Type set to I
Command: PORT 182,160,98,166,13,9
Response: 200 PORT command successful
Command: MLSD
Response: 425 Unable to build data connection: Connection refused
Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing

Any solution for this. Sorry to hold you up again.

Use Passive mode to connect. If you want to stay with Active mode, configure your client according to Network Configuration.
No support requests over PM! You will NOT get any reply!!!

I am having the below problem:

A firewall is blocking FileZilla on port 53 (DNS). For that reason, it cannot resolve the hostname to a valid IP to connect.

Check with another client. If you can connect there, the firewall blocks FileZilla exclusively. If not, you may have generic DNS problems (DNS is provided by your ISP usually).
Try to connect to 66.96.143.130 directly.

hey im getting the same problem, whenever i tried to connect using the hostname and the ip address i got the error


Connecting to 66.150.161.141:21...
Status: Connection attempt failed with "ETIMEDOUT - Connection attempt timed out".


please help me out..
