FileZilla Uploading Files Repeatedly

#1 Post by kiki847 » 2014-10-19 17:39

Please advise that Filezilla keeps uploading the same file over and over again instead of moving to next file. I have 10 files need to be uploaded, after completed the first one, it wouldn't move to the next one, instead it go back and upload the same file over 20 times. It shows on the host manager the file completed with over 20 different links. I have gone to the Default File Exists Action and change it to Skip File, it still did the same thing, it wouldn't skip, instead going back and uploaded the same file. Any helps or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Everything shows completed with no error, that's why I have over 20 different links for the same file (I tried to upload over night, that's why I got over 20 different links).

Here is a log, it is trying to upload the same file 3 times again (the complete transfer showing on my host manager 3 times as well), even after the timeout in 60, and maximum number retries in the reconnection settings is 0. Please take a look at the log and advise. Thank you.

Sure enough, there are plenty errors listed in the log:
16:21:07 Command: STOR KiKiPFnR20141080p1094.part5.rar
16:21:07 Response: 150 Opening BINARY mode data connection for KiKiPFnR20141080p1094.part5.rar
16:59:05 Error: Connection timed out
16:59:05 Error: File transfer failed after transferring 849,342,716 bytes in 2278 seconds
Most definitely some firewall or NAT router is silently dropping the control connection without informing the peers. During a transfer, the control connection stays idle. As per RFC 5382, firewalls and NAT routers MUST NOT drop connections which have been idle for less than 2 hours 4 minutes.

Furthermore, could your server by chance be configured to delete or rename partial uploads? That way the overwrite detection never has a chance to kick in.

FTP servers for website maintenance purpose will usually use temporary upload file names. That might stop FileZilla from resuming properly. Alternatively, there might be load balancers and multiple storage backends that don't always get synced in time.

So, what should I do to solve this problem? I also notice this is the only host (uploadable.ch) that I have problem with, I don't have any problem with UL or NL what so ever. Also, if I use the Uploadable host manager to upload, I have no problem. A friend of my who lives in England, she told me she has no problem uploading Uploadable by using Filezilla. There is something I need to adjust?
