FTP over TLS and client authentication

#1 Post by mainframeuser » 2019-06-06 13:56

I'm trying to connect to the FTP server on mainframe and it fails. The server requires client authentication. I run a trace on mainframe and found that handshake protocol is fine until server ask for client certificate. I do not see any configuration option to configure client certificate. How Filezilla handles this issue?

FileZilla does not support client certificates.
### BEGIN SIGNATURE BLOCK ###
No support requests per PM! You will NOT get any reply!!!
FTP connection problems? Do yourself a favor and read Network Configuration.
All FileZilla products fully support IPv6. http://worldipv6launch.org
### END SIGNATURE BLOCK ###

I see, so I cannot use Filezilla. Are there any plans to incorporate that feature? If not, can you suggest other FTP client which does support it?
