Lost server administration password

someone, please help! i lost my production server administration interface password. is there any way to change it without reinstalling the server? i would like to avoid setting up all of the FTP user's again if i don't have to.

man, this happened to me before try ing to be clever with a phrase that was too long for my bitbucket to recall after a week of not having to re-login to interface...

anyways, find the directory where you have installed FileZilla Server and open "FileZilla Server.xml" in notepad, then search for the string:
"<Item name="Admin Password" type="string">***************</Item>"

the asterisks are plaintext letters/numbers of my admin interface password, I would expect it to be the same for you. If you close without saving any changes it shouldn't affect FZs, if you want to edit this file ensure you shut down your server before doing so, then restart server once file has been closed.
